NIKE LAUNCHES NFT SNEAKERS FOR THE META-UNIVERSE

 The new sneakers, called CryptoKicks, will be co-produced with RTFKT Studios based on the Ethereum blockchain.

Nike specialists submitted a patent application stating that the company plans to create ERC 721 tokens for some of its sneaker models. The NFT sneakers are styled after the Nike Dunk design, a basketball shoe from the 80s that became popular among skateboarders. CryptoKicks can be "worn" in the meta universe by choosing from a variety of Skin Vial NFT styles.

The NFT sneaker collection was launched as part of a project with quests for collectors. Currently, virtual shoes can be purchased for cryptocurrency. The minimum price per pair on the OpenSea exchange starts at $4,500.
