SKYPE ADDED THE ABILITY TO CALL EMERGENCY SERVICES FROM A COMPUTER
After the release of Skype update 8.80 in the messenger will be able to call short number of emergency services. Users will be able to call an ambulance, firefighters or police through the app on their computer.
For now, Skype only supports calling 911 in the U.S., Britain, Australia and some other countries. It is planned that the geography will be expanded in the future. In order to call emergency services, the user will need an Internet connection. And now it is not necessary to have your phone handy.
Also, the update will give the ability to send voice messages of 5 minutes instead of 2, to choose a dark mode during the call and zoom in or out to share the image with the interlocutor through the screen.
